The unveiling ceremony of the “Paul Komor” Memorial Plaque
The unveiling ceremony of the “Paul Komor” Memorial Plaque was hold on the 3rd of November at Shanghai Refugee Museum . The Hungarian Paul Komor, former Shanghai resident, during his term as Honorary Secretary of the International Committee for the Organization of European Immigrants in China, issued identity cards and offered all possible help to European Jews who had fled to Shanghai from Nazi persecution.
Ms. Gao Xiang, Vice Director of Hongkou District,?was addressing the ceremony.
Mr. B. Nagy Peter, Acting Consul General of Hungary in Shanghai,?was reading the speech by Ms. Valerie Komor, the descendant of Mr. Paul Komor.
Mr. Zoltan Balog, Minister of Hungarian Ministry of Human Capacities,?was giving his address.
Ms. Gao Xiang and Mr. Zoltan Balog were unveiling the “Paul Komor” Memorial Plaque.
