Consul-General of Israel in Shanghai Visited the Jewish Refugees Museum

The Consul-General Edward Shapira and deputy Consul Ariel Bravermanof Israel inShanghai paida special visit to the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum on October 13th. Museum curatorChen Jian gave a brief introduction of the newly expanded museum, and later invited opinions and suggestions from the Consul-General for the museum exhibition.

TheConsul-General of Israelwas amazed by the museum and exhibition. He also shared valuable ideas on Jewishtraditions and cultures related to the Jewish refugees’ history in Shanghai,as well as possible future collaboration projects between the Israeli consulate and the museum.

  

At the end of the visit, museum curator Chen Jian gave the Consul-General custom-made gifts from the museum as souvenirs, and invited the Mr. Edward Shapira to participate in the museum reopening ceremony in December.
