Mr. Dong Jianhua's visit in the museum

  On the morning of April 16, 2014, Mr. Dong Jianhua, Vice-Chairman of the 12th CPPCC and the first Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, came to visit Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum, accompanied by?Wu Qing,?Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Hongkou District Committee,?Cao Liqiang, Vice-Secretary and Mayor of Hongkou District, Guan Weiyong, Chairman of the CPPCC of Hongkou, and?Wu Genming,Vice-Chairman of CPPCC of Hongkou.

  During the visit, Mr. Dong Jianhua inquired about current situations of those Jewish refugees and their descendants, and asked us to “make contacts with the offsprings of Jewish refugees, and let the young people remember the history forever”. Mr. Dong also shook hands with the visitors from home and abroad in the museum. When leaving, Mr. Dong asked Curator Chen Jian to “go on improving the work in the museum”.
