Local Government Leaders Visited the Museum

On March 4, 2008, Sun Weiguo, secretary of the CPC Committee of Hongkou District, visited the Museum. He listened carefully to the guide’s narration while touring around the former Ohel Moshe Synagogue. Later, he watched a Chinese video about Jewish refugees in Shanghai in Exhibition Hall No. 2. Sun Weiguo expressed his satisfaction with the Museum, acknowledged highly the part played by the Museum in promoting Chine-Israel friendship. Lastly, he proposed a research project for the museum.
On May 1, 2008, Yu Beihua, mayor of Hongkou District, visited the Museum. As he looked around the Museum, Yu talked with visitors from home and abroad, expressing his welcome to them, discussing the history, asking about their impression of the Museum and their advices. While talking cordially with the Museum staff, Yu extended holiday greetings to them, and praised their performance.
